Teams To Target (By Implied Point Totals):

  1. Utah -- 30.75 Points vs. Texas (54.5 O/U)
  2. Arizona State -- 29 Points vs. Florida State (54 O/U)
  3. Navy -- 28 Points vs. Kansas State (53 O/U)
  4. Wyoming -- 27.5 Points vs. Georgia State (48 O/U)

QUARTERBACKS

Malcolm Perry - Navy ($8,900 DK / $11,000 FD)

Who else watched Perry rack up a whopping 304 rushing yards and two touchdowns against rival Army a couple weeks ago? Although we can’t expect a repeat of that type of performance, it’s certainly a reminder of how massive Perry’s ceiling is as a runner in Navy’s triple-option offense. He’s now totaled 1,804 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns in 12 games this season with at least 100 rushing yards in 10 of those outings. Plus, Perry has an upside in passing despite Navy rarely throwing the ball. He has 1,027 passing yards and six touchdowns through the air this year and has been able to take advantage against defenses that stack the box and go all-in on stopping the triple-option. Perry is the most expensive quarterback on this slate for a reason because we’re essentially paying up for a high-volume rusher with passing upside.

Jayden Daniels - Arizona State ($7,200 DK / $9,400 FD)

While the Arizona State offense will be playing without its top two playmakers in Eno Benjamin and Brandon Aiyuk, this isn’t all bad for Daniels. It just means that the true freshman will have to do even more on his own today, especially as a runner. Daniels had been a dual-threat all season but really hasn’t needed to carry the ball as often because of Benjamin’s workhorse role in the backfield. He does have three rushing touchdowns this season, though, and three games with at least 60 rushing yards. Plus, he’ll be passing a ton in this matchup vs. a Florida State defense that’s allowed 270 passing yards per game,  and he still has Frank Darby and the rest of his regular receiving corps available. Daniels had a remarkable 17-2 TD-INT ratio in his first college season and tossed three touchdowns in four of the final six games of the year.

Also Consider:

  • Sam Ehlinger - Texas ($8,500 DK / $10,500 FD)
  • Tyler Huntley - Utah ($7,700 DK / $7,900 FD)
  • Skylar Thompson - Kansas State ($6,800 DK / $8,700 FD)

RUNNING BACKS

Zack Moss - Utah ($8,700 DK / $10,000 FD)

On a slate without many top-tier running backs, Moss is in a class of his own today. The senior back will indeed play in this Alamo Bowl despite the NFL Draft looming, and we should expect Utah to give him a full workload per usual in his final collegiate game. Moss has been a workhorse in this offense all season long with 100 or more rushing yards in eight of his 12 games and at least 20 touches in each of the final seven games to close the season. On the season as a whole, he averaged 113 rushing yards and 31 receiving yards per game with 17 total scores as the headliner in this run-first Utah offense. Even at an expensive price tag, we should be paying up for Moss in all formats as the best player on the entire slate.

Xazavian Valladay - Wyoming ($6,000 DK / $8,400 FD)

No, his first name is not a typo (we don’t think), and it’s also not a mistake to strongly consider Valladay as one of the best running back plays today. Wyoming is pretty much unknown to casual college football fans, but their lead back’s recent performances should have people taking notice. Valladay is getting a ton of volume in this Wyoming offense with 28 or more touches and at least 100 rushing yards in five straight games from Weeks 8 to 13. He had been splitting work with Titus Swen earlier in the year, but Swen’s knee injury sidelined him for the past six games. Swen is apparently available to play today but will reportedly be used only in an emergency situation and won’t cut into Valladay’s huge workload.

Deonte Sheffield & Treshaun Ward - Florida State

The Seminoles backfield is a complete mystery today, if we’re being honest. Cam Akers, the team’s workhorse all season, is sitting out as he prepares for the NFL Draft. Redshirt sophomore Khalan Laborn, Akers’ main backup this year, will also be out as he just had a knee procedure and sophomore Anthony Grant is also expected to sit out. This leaves Deonte Sheffield ($4,400 DK / $5,500 FD) as the only FSU running back who has any in-game experience, and the former walk-on had just nine total carries this season across two different games. Sheffield seems like the top candidate to see the first crack at snaps and carries for the ‘Noles, and he’s definitely a value on both sites (and is listed as a WR on FD). There’s also Treshaun Ward ($3,000 DK / $5,500 FD), another former walk-on who doesn’t have a single touch this season but will reportedly be involved in the backfield next to Sheffield. Ward actually turned down Division 1 offers from smaller schools so he could attend Florida State and try to walk on. He’s worth a shot, especially at a minimum price on DK, as he could easily return value with some legit upside because FSU has literally no competition for touches in this backfield.

Also Consider:

  • Tra Barnett - Georgia State ($7,000 DK / $8,600 FD)
  • Jamale Carothers - Navy ($5,900 DK / $8,800 FD)
  • A.J. Carter - Arizona State ($4,200 DK / $6,000 FD)

WIDE RECEIVERS

Tamorrion Terry - Florida State ($6,600 DK / $8,500 FD)

With Florida State playing without its top two running backs today, including future NFL player Cam Akers,  the offense will have to rely on the pass more than usual and Terry is the top pass-catcher and one of the best on this slate. Terry just announced on Monday that he will return to school next year for his senior season and he’ll look to put on a big performance as he’s done a lot lately. He finished this season with 51 receptions for 1,023 yards and eight touchdowns in 12 games. He also recently put up two separate performances in the final three weeks of seven receptions and 130+ receiving yards (against Florida and Boston College). He’ll face an Arizona State defense that allowed 258 passing yards per game this year and will be without quarterback James Blackman’s top target on an offense without a proven running back on the current depth chart. Without Cam Akers in the offense, Terry is now the biggest playmaker for the Seminoles and they will try to get him a ton of touches in this one.

Collin Johnson - Texas ($6,100 DK / $7,800 FD)

The Longhorns’ senior receiver missed the final three games of the regular season with a hamstring injury but is reportedly healthy enough to play in his final collegiate game before a potential NFL career. Johnson ended up sitting out six games this season with the hamstring issue, but he was very good when he was active. In his six games played, he finished with 35 catches for 497 yards and two touchdowns and he had at least six receptions and 80+ yards in four of those six weeks. If Johnson does indeed play the whole game, he’ll likely be targeted heavily (alongside Devin Duvernay) by quarterback Sam Ehlinger against a Utah secondary that will be without a ton of key players who are either hurt or opting to skip out. Temper your expectations for Johnson a little bit, though, because there is a chance of re-injury with his hamstring that’s hampered him all year.

Frank Darby - Arizona State ($5,600 DK / $7,700 FD)

With Arizona State’s best wideout Brandon Aiyuk opting to sit out this bowl game ahead of the NFL Draft, it leaves Frank Darby atop the depth chart today. Darby ended the season on a hot streak, and he’ll be in line for a ton of targets from quarterback Jayden Daniels with the Sun Devils also playing without stud running back Eno Benjamin. In the final four games of the season, Darby caught seven total touchdowns with at least two in three separate weeks. He’s a scoring machine for Arizona State and the top deep-ball threat for Daniels. Darby and the Sun Devils’ passing attack will have a favorable matchup against a Florida State defense that allowed 270 passing yards per game this season.

Also Consider:

  • Devin Duvernay - Texas ($8,100 DK / $9,500 FD)
  • Cornelius McCoy - Georgia State ($5,400 DK / $7,200 FD)
  • Brant Kuithe - Utah ($5,100 DK / $6,700 FD)
  • Kyle Williams - Arizona State ($4,700 DK / $6,500 FD)
