Sunday’s DFS CBB slates will definitely be interesting to navigate.

FanDuel has just three games to choose from, with the earliest tipping at 3 pm ET and the latter two at 6 ET. DraftKings has two additional games on their slate, with the latest coming at 9 ET. There are no Top 25 teams in action, but we do have a couple matchups projected to be close throughout - as you’ll see in our teams to target.

One curious thing to note: All of Stephen F. Austin’s players have salaries of $0 on FanDuel as of this writing. Seriously. That may change by the time you read this, but if it doesn’t - and FD massively screwed up - then every SFA player is literally a free square on that site. Also due to these wacky prices, we aren’t including an example FanDuel lineup today - just a DraftKings one.

As always, with a particular focus on KenPom’s advanced metrics and recent game trends, we’ll point out the teams to target as a whole before breaking down the guards and forwards to prioritize in your DFS lineups today. The point spreads and over/under’s below are based on KenPom’s predictions for that matchup.

If you have any questions or comments on the day’s slate or anything college basketball-related, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @dan_servodidio or in the Fantasy Alarm CBB chat room.

Teams To Target

CLEMSON (-6) vs. Lipscomb (148 o/u) - 3 pm ET (DK & FD)

ALABAMA (-5) @ Stephen F. Austin (143 o/u) - 6 pm ET (DK & FD)

MASSACHUSETTS (+4) @ Georgia (152 o/u) - 6 pm ET (DK & FD)

Guards

Shannon Bogues - SFA ($8,300 DK / $0 FD) - As stated before, FanDuel’s pricing on Stephen F. Austin players is broken today - making Bogues a lock-and-load on that site. Bogues deserves consideration either way, though, because he’s responsible for so much of the Lumberjacks’ offense. His 90.2% minutes share at point guard, 25.7% possession usage and 26.1% assist rate all lead the team. Bogues last four games have been DFS gold. During that stretch, he averaged 41.9 DK points and 17 shot attempts per outing - including nine per game from 3-point land.

Garrison Mathews - LIPS ($7,800 DK / $7,500 FD) - Lipscomb may be relatively unknown on a national level, but Mathews is a stud offensively for he Bisons. He’s scored 20 real points in six of his last 10 games and put up 30+ DK points in six of those outings. What’s really intriguing about Mathews today is his matchup against a Clemson team that does not defend the 3-point line well - the 30th worst in that category out of 353 teams, according to KenPom’s ratings. Mathews is shooting 53.8% from deep over the last three games, including two games of 10 or more three-point attempts. If he’s launching that many three’s - and making half of them - expect another 30+ fantasy points yet again.

Kira Lewis Jr. - ALA ($6,500 DK / $7,200 FD) - The freshman sensation has been very consistent lately as Alabama’s go-to scoring option. Lewis is a game removed from a six-game stretch where he averaged 19 real points and 28 DK points. The Tide run a deep rotation but it’s Lewis who gets the large share of point guard minutes as the playmaker they turn to for buckets in close games - which will be just the case vs. Stephen F. Austin on the road today. Lewis’ salary is more attractive on DK, but he’s a solid cash play on both sites.

Curtis Cobb - MASS ($6,100 DK / $6,500 FD) - Cobb is expected to return to the starting lineup today after being suspended last game. Be sure to monitor his status ahead of this 6 pm ET tip time, though, if Cobb sits out again. Assuming he plays and starts, Cobb provides a solid cash game floor as he consistently puts up 20-25 fantasy points with the upside for 30. Over his last seven games, Cobb has scored in double-digits in all but one outing and put up 10+ shot attempts in all but two. Luwane Pipkins is the unheralded star for UMass, but Cobb still gets enough volume as the secondary scoring option.

Derryck Thornton - USC ($5,200 DK Only) - Thornton doesn’t score a ton - averaging just 8.4 ppg on the year - but as the Trojans’ starting point guard, he plays 30+ minutes and has the best assist rate on the team. If Thornton does score in double-digits - which he has done three times in the last six games - and provides 8-10 assists+rebounds, he has the upside for 25-30 DK points. The other silver lining here is the matchup with turnover-prone UC Davis. Thornton could easily get 2-3 steals today to add to a balanced stat line.

Siler Schneider - UCD ($4,700 DK Only) - Rostering any UC Davis players against USC is risky - simply because the team is not good and enter as 14-point road underdogs. Still, Schneider is the Aggies’ second-leading scorer with the second-best usage - both marks behind TJ Shorts. At this cheap price, Schneider doesn’t need to do much to return value - a reasonable expectation as he regularly plays 30+ minutes, launches double-digit shots and averages 18 DK points on the year.

Other Guards to Consider:

Luwane Pipkins - MASS ($9,800 DK / $8,500 FD) - GPP Only

Fatts Russell - URI ($7,700 DK Only) - Cash & GPP

Herbert Jones - ALA ($5,400 DK / $5,400 FD) - Cash Only

Forwards

Nick Rakocevic - USC ($9,200 DK Only) - UC Davis is a poor offensive rebounding team and simply does not have anyone that can compete with Rakocevic’s 6’11” frame down low. He’s always a risk for foul trouble, but USC’s center has become a focal point in the offense. Over the last ten games, Rakocevic posted 40 DK points four different times and is comfortably averaging a double-double on the season. Barring a number of fouls in quick succession, expect 30-40 fantasy points again for Rakocevic with the real potential for an easy double-double.

Elijah Thomas - CLEM ($7,500 DK / $7,800 FD) - Lipscomb plays at an extremely fast pace (29th-highest in the nation) and does not rebound well on the offensive glass (37th-worst). This sets up beautifully for Thomas to grab tons of boards from his center position, giving him real upside for a double-double today - something he’s done four times in the last 10 games. Consider also that Thomas is becoming more of an offensive and defensive force for Clemson down low - blocking tons of shots, drawing fouls and scoring double-digit points in his last nine.

Rayshaun Hammonds - UGA ($7,000 DK / $7,300 FD) - Hammonds’ frontcourt mate, Nicolas Claxton, will always be the more attractive (and more expensive) DFS play for Georgia. Yet Hammonds is the one getting more usage and shot opportunities - his percentages for possession share and shots taken both lead the team. Hammonds usually benefits from feasting on lesser defenders as Claxton absorbs much of opponents’ defensive attention. Over the last five games, Hammonds is averaging 15 points and eight rebounds, making 56% of his shots and has three games of 30 DK points or more.

Donta Hall - ALA ($7,200 DK / $7,700 FD) - Despite back-to-back games of 35+ fantasy points, Hall is curiously priced under 8k on both sites. He could smash that salary in a favorable matchup vs. a mediocre rebounding team in Stephen F. Austin. Hall has four double-doubles over the last 10 games and anchors an Alabama team that’s been dominant on the offensive and defensive glass this season. A lot of Hall’s fantasy production relies on being a force in the paint - blocking shots and getting easy put-backs and dunks. He should have no problem doing just that today, giving him a solid 30-point fantasy floor.

David Skara - CLEM ($5,100 DK / $4,900 FD) - We mentioned above with Elijah Thomas about how poor Lipscomb is on the boards and how fast they play. The same applies to Skara’s value today - albeit with a lower ceiling than Thomas but with a very solid cash floor. He’s put up 20 or more DK points in each of the last four games as he offers a variety of production across multiple state categories. Skara represents a cheaper way to get exposure to Clemson in a pace-up game - and could easily 5x his salary if he continues his strong usage on both ends of the floor.

Other Forwards to Consider:

Nicolas Claxton - UGA ($9,900 DK / $8,700 FD) - GPP Only

Cyril Langevine - URI ($8,200 DK Only) - Cash & GPP

Bennie Boatwright - USC ($7,300 DK Only) - Cash & GPP
