(+175) Astralis v SK Gaming (-230)
(+120) Team Vitality v FC Schalke 04 (-155)
(-450) Rogue v Excel Esports (+300)
(+165) Misfits v Fnatic  (-210)
(-325) G2 Esports v MAD Lions (+230)

LEC begins its penultimate day on Saturday: SK Gaming clamours for a good placing in play-offs against Astralis, who looks to at least achieve “not last place”. Likewise for Vitality vs Schalke, who still have play-off aspirations. Rogue tries to usurp G2’s place at the top by beating a middling Excel roster. Fnatic tries to crush Misfit’s play-off dreams, and G2 tries to secure their #1 spot against a back-and-forth MAD Lions roster. Let’s check out the picks.

Captain
Inspired ($10,800)
While I think Jankos has had the slight edge in “best jungle LEC”, I think Inspired is a for certain #2 before you get into the mud below. Inspired in particular has demonstrated great synergy with mid laner Larssen, and despite G2 dropping the ball against XL, I think Rogue will wipe the floor with the underperforming squad that just squashed their 7 game losing streak. Patrik be damned, my money is on Rogue. For a secondary pick, I’d recommend Larssen who gets to smack Czekolad.
Alternatives to consider: Larssen ($11,700)

Top Lane
Broken Blade ($6,200)
S04’s top laner has been one of the most inconsistent players in the league, luckily though, I think now that the pressure has been exerted upon him, he’ll finally show up as he did in North America. In addition, he just came off a clean win against FNC. His opponent in Szygenda, in my opinion, hasn’t been a terrible player, but definitely is not a top performer in his role, and is a great choice for Broken Blade to go into. I recommend the S04 coinflipper, but for a secondary option, I’d grab Rogue’s Odoamne for a stable presence, despite Kryze’s latent power.
Alternatives to consider: Odoamne ($6,800)

Jungle
TynX ($7,000)
TynX has been an underrated pick on SK for me: He’s slipped a few games, but he’s usually a consistent positive for the squad. Similarly, his opponent in Zanzarah hasn’t been mechanically impressive, allowing TynX to be more than capable of rolling him over. Astralis has been hot-or-cold, but against a team with consistent players like Jezu, Treatz, and even Jenax and Blue, I don’t see them taking the win off of SK. For a secondary choice, I’d roll the dice with Razork versus a Selfmade: losing to Excel has not been a good look for FNC, whereas MSF has been surging.
Alternatives to consider: Razork ($6,400)

Mid Lane
Larssen ($7,800)
Mid laner Larssen is likely my favorite player in the league: he’s cheaper than Caps, but offers a similar level of play; in addition, since he’s better relative to his teammates compared to Caps, he gets a larger resource share, and therefore, a larger point share too. Larssen is the only player on Rogue, in my opinion, who can contend for #1 spot in his position aside from Odoamne. The only other player I’d suggest for middle lane is his “upgrade” in Caps, but I do greatly recommend Larssen.
Alternatives to consider: Caps ($8,000)

ADC
Jezu ($7,600)
Jezu has been the most underrated player this split; despite the fame Treatz has gotten due to his exemplary support play, Jezu has demonstrated fantastic mechanics and positioning throughout the season, especially during the beginning when Treatz was still getting his bearings together. On Saturday, Jezu gets a good chance to squash Promisq and Jeskla, two players that are relatively weak in lane and will likely falter to the stronger Jezu and Treatz. Secondarily, I’d grab Rogue’s Hans sama alongside his upcoming support Trymbi, who gets to play against one of the worst supports in Tore.
Alternatives to consider: Hans sama ($8,000)

Support
Trymbi ($5,600)
Rogue’s newest support in Trymbi has been a solid rookie on the otherwise star studded squad. He plays well with Inspired, he holds the highest KDA of his role, and his opponent in Tore is absolutely terrible. Dan and Tore form a terrible jungle-support 2v2, and Trymbi and Inspired are amongst the best in the league. For a secondary choice, I’d grab Mikyx for support from G2, since Treatz isn’t worth the money in my opinion.
Alternatives to consider: Mikyx ($5,800)

Team
FC Schalke 04 ($4,800)
Schalke looked revitalized against FNC on Friday, handing them a defeat courtesy of Broken Blade’s Urgot. Schalke get to run back the week against an inferior team with the positive reinforcement of still being able to make play-offs by besting the rest of the teams on the week. For a secondary choice, I’d grab SK versus Astralis for a pretty easy match.
Alternatives to consider: SK Gaming ($5,200)

Stacks:
Larssen & Inspired
Mid-jungle for Rogue is an easy choice for a captain spot, both come relatively affordable and put up fantastic numbers time and time again. Inspired is a low death, consistent jungler, and Larssen has a good range of motion for his form that lets him hit incredible numbers. Don’t miss out on these two.

Hans sama & Trymbi
Running it back on Rogue? Rogue’s bottom lane is another solid choice; Hans may be below Rekkles, but he’s still #2 ADC in the league, and Trymbi is an early choice for “rookie of the split” alongside Elyoya. Trymbi and Hans comprise what I consider as the most stable bottom lane, these two are a great choice no matter the circumstances.

Caps & Mikyx
Finally, the support and mid for G2 are the preferable option versus MAD, both Humanoid and Kaiser have seen better days, and while Elyoya and even Armut are pretty solid, the team definitely has shortcomings. G2’s mid and support have been solid throughout the season, and I give them a firm recommendation despite their shortcomings on Friday.

Top Picks: Larssen, Inspired, Trymbi
A full Rogue roster rounds out our top picks: despite G2 showing higher highs, RGE is the more consistent squad overall with solid players in every single position. They’ve come a long way since their 2019 last placed finish. The new blood of the league in Larssen, Inspired, and Trymbi has complimented the more veteran players in Hans sama and Odoamne well, take a look at these three.

Top Value: Broken Blade, Razork, Jezu
Undervalued gems: Broken Blade needed a stiff kick in the back and he got it, play-off motivation is great for him and he’s looked better. Razork has looked much better playing around Vetheo and MSF are beginning to discover their potential. Jezu has been playing great all season, even when Treatz was still rediscovering himself at the beginning of the split.
