If you’re reading this, it means you are heading to the finals. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. All those long hours researching, adding players and analyzing statistics has brought us to this. Congratulations on making it this far, but now it’s time to finish the job. Hopefully by Sunday, you’ll be crowned fantasy hockey champion. This is the final waiver wire article of the season, so let’s make it one to remember!

Sam Steel - Anaheim Ducks - Center

The Anaheim Ducks have nothing left to play for and Ryan Getzlaf is hurt, so why not give Sam Steel some extra ice time. He’s currently centering the third line, but at one point, the Devin Shore on the top line experiment will come to an end, and Steel will move up to that line. There’s an opportunity for the 21-year-old to make an impression on management and solidify his position on the team for next season, so if fantasy owners need some additional depth for next week, Steel is the best option to target.

Alexander Kerfoot - Colorado Avalanche - Winger

The Colorado Avalanche still have some meaningful hockey left to play, so if you need to add some depth players for next week, this is the team to target. Alexander Kerfoot is playing on the top line with MacKinnon and on the top power play unit. Even with Landeskog back, there doesn’t seem to be any indication that Kerfoot will be moved to the second line. He’s played on that top line of late, and he should be able to contribute offensively next week. He’s only 24% owned on ESPN, so there’s a good chance he’s on the waiver wire in your league.

Jordan Weal - Montreal Canadiens - Center

I can’t believe I’m talking about Jordan Weal in 2019 as a fantasy hockey option. If Claude Julien continues to sit rookie Jesperi Kotkaniemi, then Weal is an option to consider. He’s currently skating on the third line, but is seeing top power play minutes. His line was all over the ice against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, and with Montreal playing three games this week, there’s a good chance that Weal sees enough ice time to be fantasy relevant. This is a high risk/high reward in REALLY deep leagues, but at this point, it’s better to be bold than to finish second.

Josh Anderson - Columbus Blue Jackets - Winger

The Eastern Conference is still very much undecided and this week is going to be huge for three teams, including the Columbus Blue Jackets. They have three games left to play this season against relatively easy opponents, so we could see this team score a bunch of goals over the next coule of games. Josh Anderson is skating on the second line with Matt Duchene and Ryan Dzingel and is seeing time on the top power play unit. If Columbus wants to secure a playoff spot, they will need their second line to contribute, and Anderson has been doing his part this season-- scoring 27 games in 79 games. Despite his goal total, he’s only 57% owned on ESPN, so he could be available on the waiver wire in your league, and if he is, you need to add him immediately. He’s the type of player that can be a nice depth option, but can also contribute to your fantasy team. No need to think twice about this add.

Quinn Hughes - Vancouver Canucks - Defence

The Vancouver Canucks are officially eliminated from playoff contention, but there are still some players on this team that are fantasy relevant, including rookie Quinn Hughes. He made his much anticipated debut earlier in the week, and he did not disappoint. He's paired on a line with Luke Schenn, who knows exactly what his role is-- to correct any errors that Hughes’ makes. The 19-year-old should see a decent amount of ice time over the last few games, which means he should be able to pick up some points. He has one assist in two games, but the kid can certainly give us more. Again, this is a high risk/high reward add, but it could be the difference between winning a championship and falling one point short.
