2019 Fantasy Hockey Injury Report: January 1
Christopher Morais takes a look around the NHL and gives his take on the top injuries around the league.
Welcome to the Fantasy Hockey Injury Report. Once a week, we’ll take a look at some injuries around the league that may affect your fantasy hockey team. Injuries will always happen and you can’t predict when, but it’s important to be ready for the aftermath and to have a plan ready. Let’s take a look and some players who are on the shelf for the upcoming week and beyond.
Semyon Varlamov - Colorado Avalanche - Goalie
Injury: unidentified, day-to-day.
It looks like Semyon Varlamov hurt himself in his previous start and is unlikely to play Wednesday against the San Jose Sharks. He finished his last game without any trouble, so it’s really hard to know when he hurt himself or what he might be dealing with. The team hasn’t commented on what the Russian netminder is suffering from, so fantasy hockey players have to just wait around till more news is available. It doesn’t sound like the mysterious injury is serious, but fantasy owners will want to keep with with the situation.
