What's up FANation! We have a nine-game schedule and make sure you pay attention before lineup lock. These are the initial value plays, but as we saw yesterday surprises happen. Ben Simmons was a surprise scratch and it changed the approach to the slate.

DRAFTKINGS

James Johnson , PF/C MIN ($4,600)

Karl-Anthony Towns is out with a wrist injury and Johnson sees a bigger role with Towns sidelined. Even if Johnson doesn't score much, he contributes in several categories. In the last game, Johnson had five points, five rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals in 32 minutes against the Hornets for 29.8 DK points. He is averaging 27.5 DK points over the last three games. The Timberwolves are thin and he should play around 30 minutes.

Anfernee Simons , PG/SG POR ($3,500)

When Simons gets the minutes, he tends to produce. Damian Lillard left the last game early with a groin injury and won't play tonight. Simons played 28 minutes in the last game against the Grizzlies and had 22 points, seven rebounds, one assists and shot 7-for-12 from the field, including 6-of-7 from beyond the arc for 34.8 DK points. The Pelicans allow the fifth most fantasy points to point guards. Simons should start and even if he doesn't, there's a good chance he sees around 30 minutes and that's more than enough to crush value at this price.

Kevin Porter Jr., SG/SF ($4,700)

The Wizards-Cavaliers game has a total of 236. Both teams are awful defensively. Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff said Porter will see more time at point guard the rest of the season. He played 32 minutes in the last game against the Hawks and had 18 points, four rebounds and three assists for 30.5 DK points. He has at least 25.8 DK points in three of the last five games.

FANDUEL

C.J. McCollum, SG POR ($6,900)

Sure, he's a little higher than usual for this article, but he's a great play on this slate. Damian Lillard is out with a groin injury and McCollum benefits. McCollum sees an increase in usage of almost eight percent to 33.9 percent with Lillard off the floor. Lillard doesn't miss much time, but in the last three games without Lillard, McCollum is averaging 29 points, 8.3 assists, and 6.7 rebounds and tonight he faces a high-paced Pelicans team. McCollum gets a great matchup against the Pelicans with a game total of 238.5.

Victor Oladipo , SG IND ($4,600)

Oladipo hasn't looked great since returning from injury. The rust has been apparent. He has played seven games and 24.2 FD points has been his high mark. The good news is there is no longer a minutes restriction. He played a season-high 28 minutes in the last game on Feb. 12 against the Bucks. Oladipo has a 26 percent usage rate, so if the shots start to fall he's going to be a good value. He gets a bad Knicks defense tonight, which struggles against shooting guards. This looks like a great spot to get Oladipo rolling.

Marcus Smart , SG BOS ($5,400)

Kemba Walker has been ruled out and Smart benefits when Walker doesn't play. He averages more than a fantasy point per minute without Walker. The Celtics get a pace-up spot against a bad Timberwolves defense and when Smart gets an increase in usage, he has often delivered this season. In six games without Walker this season, Smart is averaging 17 points, six assists, three rebounds and three steals for an average of 36.8 FD points.
