Forwards

-       No changes in the top five with McDavid, Draisaitl, Matthews, Kane, and Marner. McDavid will likely need an injury to not finish the year as the top player.

-       MacKinnon isn’t returning fantasy value. He hasn’t had the big games he had last year. He has missed time, but a top 30 player isn’t what you’re hoping for when you select a player in the top three.

-       Hornqvist and Palat are unexpected top 25 players. It will be interesting to see how these players are valued the rest of the way, and into drafts next year if they can hold down these spots.

Defence

-       Hedman takes over the top D-spot. As noted last month Hughes' lack of peripheral points will affect is value eventually. When healthy it is hard to deny that Hedman is the best defencemen in the league

-       Pionk is the highest defencemen without the top PP. I am a Pionk fan but his spot in the rankings will be hard to hold down without that power play. It is encouraging to see this type of performance without it though.

-       Defence isn’t just for the vets anymore. Quinn Hughes is 21, Jakob Chychrun is 22, as is Adam Fox. There are eight defensemen under the age of 24.

Goalie

-       It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that Vasilevskiy has taken the top spot.

-       Demko at a glance seems high, but he has made nearly more saves than Vasilevskiy in the same number of starts. Volume matters in points leagues!

-       Twelve of the top 30 goalies have sub 0.910 save percentages. John Gibson and Jacob Markstrom being the highest, but they have combined for five shutouts.
