Below is a breakdown of Monday's two-game NHL DFS slate followed by example lineups.

Teams to Target

With tonight’s slate, it will be difficult to not fade the Islanders and Flyers. The Flyers are coming off a series against Montreal where they didn’t score more than three times in a game and will be facing an Islanders who are notorious for playing a strong defensive game. The Islanders were able to score against the Capitals, but the Flyers are a different team, with a strong goalie in Hart, and one of the best defensive forward in the game in Sean Couturier. If you’re going to play the Flyers, I would be paying up for Couturier and Claude Giroux, or Jakob Voracek. On the Islander side, I am going to fade the Barzal line and look to players like Anthony Beauviller, Josh Baily or JP Pageau. Colorado and Dallas on the other hand, shouldn’t be as high scoring as we saw in game one, where we saw the awakening of Jamie Benn and Alexander Radulov, but I’m not sure how long they will be aware for. If you’re playing the Stars, Heiskanen and Klingberg are safe bets.  In cash games I would continue to lean on Nathan MacKinnon, I expect he will be used in 60 percent of lineups or more, and stacking him with Rantanen, or Landeskog along with Makar. Nazem Kadri is still very playable for the Avs as well, and if you’re looking for value on defence, don’t shy away from Ryan Graves or Samuel Girard.

Value Plays

Alexander Radulov (5,500 DK, 5,600 FD)  - The Stars forwards are a bit of a dice roll. Their top-line didn’t see top-line minutes in game one, but their production was ultimately there. I would go back to the well on Radulov until it goes dry. He can be a very streaky player so try to use it to your advantage.

Ian Cole (3,400 DK, 3,500 FD) - Cole didn’t do a lot in game one, with a shot and a couple of blocks. What he did do though was see nearly as much power-play time as Cale Makar. The upside is there, and he is going for near the minimum price.

Josh Bailey (4,300-DK, 4,800 FD) - Do you know who leads the Islanders in playoff scoring? That’s right Josh Bailey does. At his price, he should be used in most lineups tonight, while people focus their attention on Matthew Barzal and Anders Lee.

Goalies

All four goalies tonight can be used in one fashion or another. Hart, Varlamov, and Grubauer/Francouz are all usable in cash games. If you’re playing GPP, Khudobin can really shine because he should see lots of shots, which gives him the highest upside.
